I tend to wear a lot of bright colors. When I first started my job my boss commented on how bright my clothes were and if we had bright paint colors in our house. We do. (Neon green wall) Granted, I was really into color blocking last summer, so I can understand the comment. This year, I have been sticking to one color mostly but still pretty bright and bold ones! I've been doing some online browsing and have found some really cute stuff at boutique shops. Don't hate me for saying this Indy, but we could really use a few more boutiques. Do you shop online boutiques? Let me know your favorites! I'd love to shop some new ones.

Big Announcement!
We're excited to announce that we're expecting a new edition to the family in December!!!
Baby Shearin is due December 30th.
After the first ultra sound!
I sent this card to my friends that I wasn't able to tell in person.
It has been really fun telling our family and friends. I've been really excited to tell my blog readers as well! When telling people most want to know if we are going to find out the gender. No. We are going to wait until birth! The 2nd most asked question is about how I'm feeling. I feel okay. I'm sure it could be much worse. I'm very tired and nauseous (all day). I am hoping that goes away with the first trimester.
I'm looking forward to sharing this journey with you all!

Palm Print
Target Bikini // Topshop Romper // ASOS Bikini // Cameo Dress
ASOS Skirt // Modcloth Sandals // ASOS cutout swimsuit // ASOS Bag // Dorothy Perkins Scarf
Have you been seeing palm print everywhere this summer? Maybe it's just a hot print every summer and on men's Hawaiian shirts. I guess it's a beachy thing and I like it! I was eyeing this ASOS bikini until I spotted the almost exact same one at Target!

Yoga in Indy
A couple of months ago I started taking yoga classes. I had never done anything but beginner yoga, which I found to be incredibly boring in the past. From the recommendation of a few friends I started going to Invoke Studio. I mostly go to their community hot yoga class on Sunday afternoon. If you have ever been turned off by beginner yoga, I urge you to try another non-beginner class. At first I had no idea what I was doing but I just followed along and quickly fell in love. That's what is so wonderful about yoga, it's not about anyone, but you. It's about doing what your body allows you and there is no judgment from anyone. I find it to be so relaxing and the time goes by much faster than I ever imaged it would.
I only do yoga about once or twice a week if I can fit it in. I have a gym membership so I haven't been interested in doing yoga full time as my regular workout. I really like the addition to my fitness routine and strongly encourage others to try it.
Several studios offer "community classes" that you can pay per class for a smaller fee than their regular classes. This is a great opportunity for anyone to try it! I promise yoga is for everyone with all skill levels.
In addition to community classes, Lululemon the yoga retail store in the Keystone mall offers a free class every Saturday morning at 9am before the mall opens. This is another great way to try yoga. They even provide mats! Each week is a different instructor from one of the local yoga studios.
On Sundays this summer Lululemon has teamed up with Invoke Studio to offer another free class! This class is downtown in University Park (325 N Meridian). The class is from 10-11am. It's so nice to be outside in the grass. You will need to bring your own mat to this one.
Check out Lululemon's event page HERE for more community events!
Another great yoga event is this Saturday. Monumental Yoga! Indianapolis is hosting the single largest yoga event in the city on Monument Circle Saturday June 21st at noon. Over 700 people are signed up already. I think it's going to be a really fun experience. You can find more information for this event HERE.
If you would ever like to try a yoga class and need a buddy, please let me know! I would be happy to go with you!

Taken from my yoga mat in store. I felt so sneaky taking this. Terrible photo, but you get the idea.

Pretty Plaid
I have been lusting after this crop top and skirt for a few months now. I saw it in a magazine months ago and it wasn't online until now. Unfortunately, it will never be mine because 1. It's too expensive and 2. I cannot pull off a crop top. Ahhh... such is life. Of course my favorite blogger and style icon is wearing it! Doesn't Atlantic Pacific look amazing in this? The plaid reminds me of summer and BBQ's and I am pretty much in love with it.
I could make this entire outfit pretty easily and for much less than it costs. That doesn't solve my belly baring issue, but here are so pretty plaid taffeta fabric options and pattern that matches.

Friday Favorites
ASOS Polka Dot Romper // Topshop Swimsuit // Necessary Clothing Dress
Yellow Zara Wedges // Tassel Necklace // Topshop Jeweled Heels
Yellow Zara Wedges // Tassel Necklace // Topshop Jeweled Heels
Happy Friday everyone! I'm sorry for my lack of posts over the last few weeks. I promise to be around more next week!
I love summer so much! It's my favorite time to shop because of all the cute dresses and shoes. There are so many fun things to do in the summer giving me the opportunity to show off my new clothes! We have a couple of weddings this summer and other activities planned almost every weekend. Some of my current favorites are above. I don't know about pulling off a high waisted swim suit, but gosh it's cute! I am really into asymmetrical hemlines and cutouts, so I love this dress! I am trying to figure out an occasion to wear these jeweled Topshop heels. So pretty! Do you have a favorite shopping season? I hope you have a wonderful and sunny weekend full of plans too.

Maxi Dresses
I've never been much into wearing shorts in the summer. I definitely prefer skirts and dresses. The last few summers I have forgotten how much I love maxi dresses! This year I'm back into them just mostly for the comfort level. Plus there are just so many cute ones out right now! Some of my current favorites:
