H&M Online

H&M has updated their website and now you can shop online! Yay! I like H&M, but their sizing is never consistent for me, so I don't know how much I will actually buy online. It's nice that they finally offer it! Bout time. I found a few things I like, particularly this purse. Love it!

 

Last week

What I Wore. 

These are not in day order, so don't be confused if you saw me last week. I didn't actually wear #5 out of the house, but just tried it on because it's new! I'm always hesitant to post outfit pictures especially since I don't have the time to do real photo shoots. Every time I post outfits I have positive feedback.  I'm not a huge fan of the "selfie" but I feel like everyone else is doing it, so why not jump on board!

Weekend

Here's what I did this weekend.

 

Got a hair cut. Sporting bangs again. Went to a new salon and ended up loving the cut.

 

Celebrated my good friend Kerrie's 30th Birthday. Went to dinner at Napolese Pizzeria, a new restaurant in Indy for dinner. It's the same company that owns Patachou restaurants and equally as amazing! Try it out!

Saturday, Dan and I decided to shop. We hit up J Crew outlet.

 

Then bought some new artwork at the Inventorialist, a shop on Mass Ave that has everything from vintage furniture, signs, artwork, pottery, and all kinds of other fun knick knacks.

Sunday, I shopped some more. Loving the floral fabrics I found above and trying to decide what to make with them Skirts? Dresses?

Found this pillow at Marshalls and I just love it! I can't stop thinking about it, so I might go back and get it!

My BFF, Lauren, sent me this picture yesterday to show me her sweet polka dot pants. JCPenney's $18! Yes! Unfortunately, they are out of my size everywhere. Believe me I searched and searched. Fingers crossed they will restock.

Prabal Gurung for Target

So this is how today went. I woke up at 7am thanks to the dog. I woke up with a hangover thanks to a mini pitcher of green goodness at Kilroys last night (lesson learned). I got up, took the dog out, and headed to Target. I drove a little further to a Super Target with hopes that it would have a good selection. You guys know I have been looking forward to this day for some time. My number one item was this floral crush print dress.

The parking lot seemed empty at 7:55, but then I arrived to this. Which I just think is funny, but I participated and ran in all Supermarket Sweep like at 8am.

This is what me and my 5 new friends found. We were all like "where's the rest?"

All bummed out we each took a few pieces to the dressing room. We checked out the shoe department to find the same situation. Only about 4 of the shoe styles were available. It was kind of funny, we each whipped out our phones looking up other Targets and checking online for styles and sizes. 

This is what I ended up buying. I wanted something with that damn floral print and this was all that they had. It's cute, but it's really just a tee. 

Don't mind my second day makeup and puffy hangover face. 

I did try on this dress, which is the same style as the floral and I'm somewhat happy that it actually didn't fit that well.

Since, I didn't have luck with the Prabal Gurung line I shopped the rest of Target and this peplum came home with me too! 

I finished my grocery shopping while at Target and then came home with the intention of hitting another Target later in the day. I looked up several items online only to find they were out of stock in all Indianapolis area locations and sold out online. Boo! 

So then I drowned my sorrows in half a bag of Cadbury Eggs and took a nap. 

In case you are wondering, I feel much better now and am moving on the other things. I'm currently online shopping and watching IU.

Chicago

I went to Chicago this past weekend to see some of my friends. Several of my sorority sisters and my best friend from high school all live in Chicago. It was such a great weekend filled with shopping, good food, and fun times with my friends.

I saw a lot of sequins, lace, brocades and of course peplums! I love it! Great inspiration. 

I went fabric shopping as well and I loved it! I'll dedicate a whole post to that soon. 

Amazing food! Had a fabulous brunch and then my friend Katye and her husband Sean had us all over for dinner on Saturday. They had several types of savory pizza's including the fruit pizza above.

Occasionally Dan wants to go shopping for himself and when he does he goes big! So this weekend we hit up a few of his favorite stores and Dan came home feeling like a brand new man ready for the fall! Dan has excellent style and I don't shop for him too often because he likes to himself.  I will tell you that he is sort of a hipster and artsy therefore he did wear corduroy pants a few times this summer much to my embarrassment! Sometimes you have to pick your battles and that one I did not win.

Anyway, other than sometimes wearing flannel and cords in the wrong season, Dan picks out great clothes, shoes and accessories.

This weekend he picked up a new watch and cologne!

I generally blog about women's style and things that I covet, but I thought it would be fun to talk about guy style for the fall and what's in Dan's closet or wish list (or mine).

 I've been trying to get Dan to buy a pair of brightly colored pants or shorts for about a year now. I'm hoping he comes around.

I finally got the chance to visit Lottie Dottie, a boutique in Greenwood, last week! I had been hearing about it via facebook for several months. It's a super cute boutique with very girly decor and adorable dressing rooms! They have a pretty good selection of tops, dresses and even colored denim! They get in new items every day. I tried on a few pieces and ended up buying a top I saw online and went there looking for. They have a great website you can order off of too!

I really like boutique shopping, but usually just hit up the stores in Broad Ripple. I'm really happy that I've discovered this Greenwood hot spot! If you live on the south side, or anywhere really...
