I'm so excited.... I just CAN'T hide it!

I'm so pumped! I'm on top of the world! I CAN'T believe it's wedding week! Woohoo! Everything has come together and just a few more errands tomorrow before I head to my hometown to get married.

Dan and I practiced our kiss and first dance last night, which were all super awkward and super middle school dance like! Our practice went like this... "you are being awkward, be natural" "I'm gonna grab your butt" "dip me really romantically" "I'm gonna fall". We proceeded to look up wedding dance steps on YouTube and found only choreographed dances. We settled on basic swaying with maybe a turn if we can manage it without laughing or falling. haha!

I can't wait for everything to come together and I'll be sure to post all the deets when we return from our honeymoon!

Unfortunately, one thing that didn't happen was a slide show. We scanned all the pictures, but just didn't have the time to put it together. Oh well! Check out these oldie but goodies!

Still an A's fan!

Possibly our first picture together. Summer 2004

7 years later! I can't wait to marry you!

Pasta Salad

There are so many variations of pasta salad. Here's the way I make mine...

Ingredients:
1 Box of pasta
1 packet of dry Italian dressing
1 bottle of Italian dressing

Optional: (anything goes)
chopped tri colored peppers
Olives
cherry tomatoes
pepperoni
chopped onions
matchstick carrots
broccoli florets
cheese cubes
feta cheese

Start with your favorite pasta. I generally use spaghetti, but sometimes I use rotini for the color.
Prepare a full box of pasta. This will serve plenty or keep it in the fridge all week for leftovers.

Drain pasta and cool. Add one packet of dry italian dressing. Add chopped vegetables and/or cheeses. I switch it up every time I make it.

Enjoy!

Wedding Update: 14 days til I DO!

Wow! I can't believe it! I can't believe we are down to 2 weeks from the wedding. It seems crazy to think about. We have been planning this wedding for over a year now and it will finally all come together 2 weeks from today. I am happier and more excited than I have ever been! I have to admit I am definitely nervous but mostly just that everything will fall into place without any problems. I'm also a little nervous to be in front of so many people with all eyes on me. A friend of mine told me she felt like a celebrity all made up and everyone wanting to take her picture. She said she never felt better and I hope to feel the same way!

Only a few last minute things to take care of before the big day! But we are almost there!

I had my final dress fitting and picked up my dress. I didn't want to take it off and I would definitely play in it at home if I could put it on myself!  Hopefully Dan won't take a peak before I can get it to my parents house.

It's official!! Well, it will be once these are signed!

We picked up our wedding bands! Isn't Dan's ring packaged cool?

We are both really looking forward to seeing everyone and thank you all who have been a part of our lives! We can't wait to share this joyous event with our friends and family.

Paninis

We received a Griddler (Griddle/Grill) in the mail as an early wedding gift last week and we were so excited to use it! I found this website with 50 paninis! We've made the Italian, Grilled cheese, and Caprese. Check out the site for great recipes!

Frozen Fruit and Yogurt Pie

This is a simple pie and doesn't taste like yogurt! Try it, you'll like it!

Ingredients:
3 containers of yogurt (flavor of your choice)
1 8 oz container of cool whip thawed
Fresh fruit of your choice
Pre-made graham cracker pie crust

Mix cool whip and yogurt together. Spread in crust. Top with berries. Freeze. Enjoy!!!

There are literally dozens of yogurt flavors on the market, so you can really go to town experimenting with this recipe! I've had blueberry, peach, and strawberry. I think next time I'd like to experiment with the chocolate yogurt flavors. Yum!
