Scenes from this week

It has been a crazy long week and it's only Wednesday! We got the keys to our house last Saturday and have since been super busy painting and moving. We are planning to finally stay in our house this weekend. Homeowning is a little overwhelming with all the things we want to do. We have a giant "to do" list we are creating along the way.

Growing up I loathed hardware stores. I drug my heels and complained with my sister every time my parents would take us. How completely boring!!! Now, I guess I'm a grown up and light fixtures and paint aren't so boring after all. As a matter of fact there are so many options it's almost stressful. I have been to Home Depot more times that I can count this week.

But things are coming together and the down stairs is mostly painted. We have a ways to go on the kitchen and upstairs, but of those both take time and more importantly money. What a bank account drainer this house sure is! All the while, it's been fun and I can't wait to move in!

Wow you've got some great neighbors! I've never had any that nice! I love the recessed lighting in the grey room! I've considered doing it but just never have. Now I'm having second thoughts! The patio is a adorable and please keep us posted on that neon paint! Congrats! Have fun! And yes that's so true about hardware stores now vs then. We kinda made friends with our local hardware store checkout lady. She'd always giggle at us and comment on whatever we were getting that trip, ask about progress, etc. lol
